a group of artists painting en plein air
Our first en plein air meetup up was successful despite it being unseasonable grey, cold for June 29. Yes, people are wearing coats at the end of June.

We’re officially opening our doors and inviting artists and artisans from Richmond County (and nearby) to become members. This year, we’re offering a special one-time introductory membership for just $5.

To join, send an e-transfer to info(at)aichmondartistsalliance.ca.

We’re also accepting donations to help us grow (though we can’t issue tax receipts).

Once you’ve sent your e-Transfer then email us at the same address to let us know. We’ll send you your digital membership card.

As a member you can sell your art in our gallery in D’Escousse. Here is Elaine hanging a new member’s work. We have some guidelines for what goes in the gallery. For example, it has to be a reasonable size; it must be original, that is, not a kit or straight copies of something seen on sites like Pinterest. The easiest way to know if it will work in the gallery is to send us links and photos. Better still, visit our gallery at the The D’Escousse Civic Improvement Society Hall in D’Escousse on Isle Madame.

Why join now?
Besides helping get this off the ground, members get:

  • Early access to shows, workshops, and events
  • Voting rights on decisions that shape the group
  • A spot in our member directory (coming soon)
  • Opportunities to be promoted on our Facebook page
  • Media experience through Scrape Magazine and Telile maker videos
  • Connection to other local creators for support and collaboration

We’re actively looking for a sales venue for local work, and we plan to partner with the Department of Tourism to raise the profile of Richmond’s creative talent.

Who can join?
If you’re serious about your creative work and want to be part of something rooted in community, you’re welcome. No application, no jury, no resume. Just commitment.

We’re focused on Richmond County, but we’re also open to nearby artists who feel a connection to the region and its creative future.
